Gun and gear reviews Ross M10.

Howdy folks ! First time gun owner and I received this gun from my late grandfather. Can anyone tell me more about it ? I'm gonna take it in and get it looked at before I shoot it.

Any suggestions, comments or concerns ?

I'm pretty stoked, lot of history in this rifle from what I've read.

That looks like the original barrel length, barrel band, and handguard. Gun might be a prime candidate for restoration.

Do I still take it into the local gun shop and hope they can help ? What are the benefits of restoration ?

There’s an outfit out of Alberta that makes stock sets. Benefits are that it will look original/better. May add some value to it as well.
