Fix my gun SKS scraping brass off casing during chambering. Need help!

Post image

Just got this SKS. When chambering a brass round, it scrapes a big chunk of brass off the casing.
It happens right at the bottom edge of the chamber (circled in blue).
Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it? Thanks!

This is a common "issue" and no cause for alarm. You could polish down the feed ramp, but being honest with you, it doesn't affect anything unless you're planning on reloading that brass.

That is if you can find the brass once it gets yeeted to high orbit.

I once watched a 747 change trajectory because our ejected casings were showing up on their radar.
