Fix my gun SKS scraping brass off casing during chambering. Need help!

Post image

Just got this SKS. When chambering a brass round, it scrapes a big chunk of brass off the casing.
It happens right at the bottom edge of the chamber (circled in blue).
Is this normal? If not, how do I fix it? Thanks!

Just keep in mind this is an almost 80 year old mass produced $150 gun.

Maybe a bur needing to get filled down or just needs a few thousand rounds to break it in.

I feel that if they try to make the same thing now it would cost a lot more than 150 bucks.

They were cheap back in the days coz abundant, but given the historical value and reliability of SKS overall. Would definitely fetch a decent price.
