Carmel:
Very Modern
Made by an extremely credible company.
Lightweight but chunky
Will probably be easy to get parts for into the distant future.
Definitely works
Makasi:
Super cool, kind of retro.
FNC we have at home
All metal
Uses a fair bit of AR parts.
Reviews seem good, but long term unknown.
Not from Israel.
There are plenty of pluses for both. It's a hard choice, but I think I'm going Makasi. I've got a machine shop at home so I'm less concerned about availability of random small parts in the future. I like it because it's got some resto-mod cold war vibes. It's less of an AR180 too so that's fun and maybe a tiny bit more ban proof (not that it would matter)
