Buy recommendations Bear charge scenario: bolt gun splits?

I'm new to measuring splits between shots, and curious what everyone's baseline is for medium bore rifles at 25 yards or so?

Trying to decide if I should put together a 223 trainer or just run a lot of snap cap drills.

Solid question, I myself am unsure, but would think the answer is both, snap caps and live action. So long as your 223 is the same rifle, same operation, same bolt length. Different guns have different problems when it comes to failures.

I was thinking that, get the same optic and as close to the same controls as I can. Guy on gunpost with the same rifle I have won't budge on price though it's the issue ha ha
