Buy recommendations Bear charge scenario: bolt gun splits?

I'm new to measuring splits between shots, and curious what everyone's baseline is for medium bore rifles at 25 yards or so?

Trying to decide if I should put together a 223 trainer or just run a lot of snap cap drills.

Almost nobody keeps these specific stats. Just practice with your gear so you dont have to mentally process the motions.

For a charging bear, your best bet is bear spray, your second best bet are 12 gauge slugs.

Specifically brenneke-style slugs. They thump unfathomably hard.

do you think pump-action rifles like the derya 9mm or the troy PAR could be useful against a charging bear? they would cycle about as quickly as a shotgun
