Application / Regulation advice Handgun ownership of deceased

Hello all,

I have a family member who recently passed away who owns some handguns I was wondering if there is anyway to have the passed down to me? The guns themselves are older cowboy style guns and I recently have been interested in Cowboy Action Shooting but obviously cant buy a revolver for the sport and this would be a great opportunity to not only get one but also keep the collectible in the family.

With the laws in place is this even possible anymore?

Some clubs can have then transferred to their own business licenses which will allow them to be stored there and used by you at the range until the freeze is over.

The NFA has a storage program as well.

The freeze has been written into law. Conservatives can’t just undo it with the stroke of a pen like the assault ban

They could expand the exemption for olympic to any sport shooting in a club and all calibers. Going the full circle since that's what the purpose of the rpal was 😂

Hopium is better than copium!

The CPC has promised to revamp the entirety of the firearms act because as it is, is far too convoluted and ambiguous

Tons of laws have been repealed. It takes a couple dozen strokes of multiple pens, but it’s done before and (hopefully, in terms of this case) can be done again

they wont if the other canadian subs got their way and put a fake non-conservative like charest as leader.

so was the long gun registry. and you are right that it took harper getting a majority to undo it.

They can just give out exemption letters to every RPAL holder. Pretty much like Sask and their “storage permits”
