Shooting Decent day for some shooting

Post image

Took out the toys for a day of shooting with the family, great weather and no malfunctions makes for a solid day.

Thinking of maybe adding a homesteader to the line up in the near future, but on the fence between a homesteader and lever supreme.

After you’ve been waiting about 6 months call the rcmp every week or two and ask very politely if they’ve done your application yet, could bump you up a few months.

Applied on April 6th 2026, received it at my door May 15th.

Oh man thats crazy. I applied in oct of 18, got mine back in like may of 19 or something like that. I feel like at the time people were waiting a year or more

If you want a proper update, go to the rcmp independent web services. The log in portal from the gc website wont update accurately. I checked with the rcmo independent services 30 days after I applied and it was approved for printing and shipping

Sks on the left and a winchester wildcat on the right, my father's rifles haha. 2nd time out with the sks and he's loving it lol

2

u/dgod40 May 17 '26

Im pretty sure DG7750 thought the wildcat was the "bolty" and was asking what the one in the middle is, which I assume is the MRA renegade

u/TheBulletBuddy May 17 '26

Wasn't too sure haha, in that case youd be right though

Dont be sorry lol, the only bolt action on the table is the one that shouldn't be 🤣

Sad times were in lol

what's the sks stock? It looks really nice

Pretty sure its one of the ATI ones. The actual chassis its self feels relatively solid, but there's no way the grip survives a season. Its held on by a small screw and it feels very delicate and wobbly. Its only a matter of time before it breaks.

This sub loves to hate the ATI stock, but I like mine. But you’re 100% correct I think my pistol grip held on for 2 trips and then while assembling I was distracted and stripped it out. All I did was upsize to a bigger screw and it’s held on since, but I think the best fix would be to drill out and epoxy a stud in, and then tighten it down with a nut.

Sound advice, ill pass that along when the time inevitably comes haha

Ah gotcha. Thanks!

Hard to beat a semi auto PCC. Easily one of the best styles of semi auto a person can own.

Banana mag!

Got my wife the walker razer pros in pink sprinkle to match the magazine lol. The key to unrestricted buying privilege, is to get the woman involved hahaha

2

u/gregarious01 May 22 '26

Haha I almost had mine get her pal with me but she decided to leave it to me. Gotta get her out soon!

2

u/TheBulletBuddy May 22 '26

That's how it starts lol, after a season mine wanted her own stuff 🤣

Why even consider a homesteader or a supreme with the mk15 otw ?

4

u/KingHarber May 17 '26

Good chance it gets swept up in a future OIC, unfortunately.

Plus, lever guns are cool

Fast action fire arms ( lever guns and pumps) will be snatched up aswell. But hey if you wanna let the government scare you out of purchases then idc 👍🏻

u/KingHarber May 19 '26

Assuming my pre order wasn't put in the second they opened up ;)

It's a lot harder to ban lever gats and pumps because it will get the fuds going than it is to ban a single rifle that hasn't even arrived yet and is scary, black and semi-auto.

You must be new here

You’re so tough

Didn't real claim to be but thanks,

The mk15 is a bit too pricy for my blood in this uncertian of a climate. The hit from the Raven getting banned after 2 range trips hurt, but a grand for a homesteader won't break me if it gets hit.

2

u/PhilthyLIVES May 17 '26

Whats the rifle to the right of the sks?

2

u/dgod40 May 17 '26

MRA renegade

1

u/TheBulletBuddy May 17 '26

MRA Renegade

1

u/PhilthyLIVES May 17 '26

Ok, that's what I was thinking it was. How do you like it? Was planning on getting one but maybe waiting til the mk15 has been out a while

1

u/TheBulletBuddy May 17 '26

I love mine but theres really no comparing it to something like the mk15.

As a semi cope, its awesome. Havnt had any issues at all with it and its a ton of fun to shoot.

Cool range!

2

u/TheBulletBuddy May 18 '26

Would be nice if people could keep it clean. The never ending battle of picking up shot gun shells and people's house hold junk

2

u/IPSC_Canuck May 18 '26

Yeah that’s frustrating man. I feel your pain.

We had a long range spot that eventually ended up collecting appliances. We got the dump to give a free day and took 3 trailer loads of junk.

A week later, 1 more washing machine! Just fucking maddening.
