Shot a few slugs today and a wad ended up lodging itself into the target. I hadn’t seen anything like it before so I was thought it was pretty cool haha. I was wondering if it’s a common occurrence at shorter ranges ?

The thug slugs that are used by Challenger and Score have a attached base wad. They travel with the slug and provide stability à la badminton birdy I often find slugs in the spring that hit snow with the wad still attached inserted in the base of the slug.
