Shooting How often does this happen ?

Shot a few slugs today and a wad ended up lodging itself into the target. I hadn’t seen anything like it before so I was thought it was pretty cool haha. I was wondering if it’s a common occurrence at shorter ranges ?

I wonder if the wad hurt after you get hit by the slug

It stops the bleeding on one side.
