There’s been a lot of discussion lately around Canada’s handgun freeze and how it affects licensed owners.

I put together a short petition and info page asking for a formal review of the policy and its real-world impact, mainly focused on effectiveness and long-term outcomes.

It’s not meant as a political statement, more as a way to structure the discussion around whether the policy should be periodically reviewed.

Here in Vancouver, I get calls all the time from people looking to buy handguns off the street. I always try to explain that this isn’t something you can do—you need to go through the proper legal process. Unfortunately, with the way things are set up right now, it feels like the government has made the market more challenging and confusing for people trying to do things the right way
