There’s been a lot of discussion lately around Canada’s handgun freeze and how it affects licensed owners.

I put together a short petition and info page asking for a formal review of the policy and its real-world impact, mainly focused on effectiveness and long-term outcomes.

It’s not meant as a political statement, more as a way to structure the discussion around whether the policy should be periodically reviewed.

Whats there to discuss? Its was a virtue signaling pointless legislation that has absolutely no impact on safety. Criminal don’t care about lawfully purchasing handguns, and 90% of firearm crimes were traced with firearms from USA. There isn’t even an argument about “all illegal firearms were previously legally owned” as that is not the case for Canada.
