This popped up on my YouTube feed: Chinese YouTubers visiting FH Munitions near Calgary. I did not realize we have small Canadian munitions factories, I don't think I've seen their ammo in Ontario.
Unfortunately, there is no AI translation, but they give a tour of the small factory and then visit a range in Calgary to shoot various firearms.
They shoot full-auto in the video; how does one get a full-auto exemption in Canada?

Only can shoot it if it’s a business with a CFO approved range on the premises.
Other businesses can acquire prohibited full auto firearms but cannot get an ATT to take them to a range and actually shoot them.

Interesting, time to do some research... but I don't think there are any private ranges that let you shoot auto normally as a customer right?

If there is an employee with you, you can. But no new business licenses are awarded for full auto. So only existing ones will be all there is left.

Not true, it’s still possible to acquire a new business license for prohibited firearms. On a business license there’s no difference between full-auto vs other types of prohibited firearms.
It’s not possibly to get an individual license for prohibited firearms that are full-auto unless you were grandfathered back in 1978.

Hey its FH!
They make really good ammo and are great guys. i am totally not biased by them dropping off some pizzas for the staff as an apology after they had a mislabeled delivery of ammo to the store.
speaking of, if you want to come shoot some full auto (or other prohibs we have for rent), and see the wonderful facility they used, come on down to the Calgary Shooting Centre some time and myself or one of the fellas would be happy to take you in for a session.

Full auto licenses can still be granted to certain businesses (no longer available for individuals). Calgary shooting center has such a license, and you can rent a few machine guns to try at their range (for a hefty price)

Fh munitions is a pretty decent set of guys i met the owners and toured their factory its down in the SE industrial area super down to earth guys we just sat and shot the shit for an hour turned out buying a few bricks of some SK long range match in the end

FH Ammunition is some good ammo, athlon makes good scopes. Norinco was the best thing that ever happened to the canadian firearms community. I AM CHINESE

Yeah, note sure why there are no AI translated subtitles. YouTube seems hit or miss when it comes to translation.
Maybe I’ll run it to through Azure Speech and do a translation and see what it comes out with and upload a copy of the video with it properly captioned.

Calm down dude. I’m pretty sure they are Canadian citizen. The target audience is not English speaking population. It’s a chance for them to show how they successfully started a business in Canada. It’s to show the Chinese who can’t afford to move over here that someone is fortunate enough to build something they could never imagine.
If you keep looking at everything from the gutter. Everything looks like shit. Grow a positive mind please. You mental health is important if you are a gun owner.

Thats pretty easy to do when a foreign state 100% funds all your needs in order to setup munitions stockpiles in a nation right next to the nation you are going to attack and invade in the future.

I understand your take on this but from my experience Chinese are excellent to do business with and very affordable in comparison to western counterparts. Language barrier can effect things
For example all the automated processing they have for ammunition in the video. china is a manufacturing powerhouse top to bottom. They can get good deals on equipment overseas using easy communication and nationalism as leverage.
So you could be right, could be a bit of both or just people doing business

The content is produced by a Chinese YouTube channel - it looks like they do travel vlogs. This video is not meant for Canadian domestic viewers; it randomly popped up on my YouTube feed.
But the manufacturer highlighted has an English website.
Anyhow attitudes like yours is why we don’t have mainstream support. There have been times where people go on wild rants at the gun range 🤦♂️

This is like screaming that S&B is "not Czech" because an english language channel went and did a factory tour, in English.
There's plenty of things out there to be legit angry about without inventing a yellow panic all for yourself.

Highly doubt this is inline with CCP interests. Why a high quality ammo manufacture of all industries, in a rival country? Promoting gun use, ownership and personal empowerment of your own expats while guns are almost enirely banned in your own country doesn't really make sense. There are simple other industries.
Last thing they want is increasing the risk of one of their paid shills, cops or spies getting buckshotted when coercing nationals abroad.
