Gun and gear reviews 3D printed 10/22 to 597 adapter and 3D printed 597 magazine

I modified the Deifox’s 597 magazine design I found online and redesigned it to accept a 3D printed spring. I also made an extended 597 magazine (that can load up to 8 rounds and can possibly load up to 10). The 10/22 to 597 mag adapter design was originally from a guy named Francis Edorikov, but I ended up modifying it quite a bit to make it fit properly and feed reliably.

I will post the file on makerworld once I got permission.

It may or may not work on ur 10/22 🙃

Hope this will help u guys out! Also hope this convince you to get a 3D printer LOL

Or just buy the SBI 10/22 adapter! They work the best! If they restock 😢

Cheers guys!

Just a side note guys ☹️ the adapter doesn’t really like pro mag or standard 10 round mag. Well at least for my gun.. it might be different for you

My 3D printer has been idle too long! That’s a great use for it.

Very nice, why didnt you just make the spring from a wire pretty easy and cheap, i printed some cz457 mags with the 3d printed springs and they end up losing the tension so issues feeding replaced them with diy wire springs and work like a charm since

I was thinking about that too! So far the springs still work but I bet it will need to be replaced once in a while. I will design a jig that make spring when I got time 🙂‍↕️

You’re a brave man posting with that red dot. The last time someone posted with one, the poor guy got slagged hard. Cool 3D print project though. How durable has the printed spring been so far?

Its a 10/22, if your going to use a amazon red dot on any gun it should be a 10/22. I have had mine on my 10/22 for many years and it just wont die. Best 30$ ever and holds zero for a 22.

Yeah I have nothing against them. I’ve bought them for my friends as they’ve gotten into the sport. People have crapped all over other posts with these red dots for no good reason. Why over spend when you don’t need to right?
