Fucking gem of a rifle, especially if you can get one from '56 to '58. Those were made with love.

By individual animal, I would say my Benelli Nova in 12G which has felled many a duck and a goose in its day. By volume of meat, my Mossberg Patriot took many bear, deer and elk over its time in service. It wasn't a great firearm, but it did what it had to.

Remington 887 Nitromag.
Deer, turkey, squirrel, dove, duck - swap out the choke and you’re good to go. 2 3/4”-3 1/2”, rated for magnum and steel shot, polymer coated so wet weather is less troublesome, and has never failed to cycle or fire. I can reliably hit a 6” plate with a foster slug at 100m.
If SHTF tomorrow, that’s the long gun I would grab.

Technically speaking I believe it's my Norinco 1887, seems like it would have gotten the most so far, grouse and rabbit.

Fittingly, my Meateater edition 6.5 Creedmoore. I've shot way more stuff with my 30-30, but the Creedmoore has provided bigger game.

Browning XBolt .308 and a 12, and 20 gauge shotgun. Deer, wild boar, pheasant, grouse, ducks, geese, and turkeys.

Well, for big game, my only rifle (other than milsurps) has been a 1966 Savage 99 in .308. I stepped up to a Tikka in 7mm Mag after last season, yet to christen it. But as far as most food? Probably my Weatherby SA-08 in 20 gauge. Lots of grouse with that gun.

Lol mine just be taking food off the table. Keep buying more guns and ammo... I gotta get my hunting license.. That was the plan all along.
