Feets / Collection / My build XCR magazine SKS chassis progress

I made a few updates to my project. Forend connection interface is now much more discrete and will allow for many different handguard styles planed.

Material is now Polyphthalamide Carbon Fiber which can handle impact like a champ and up to $250 degrees Celsius temperature.

Magazine release is much more tactile with a better spring and the whole magazine release is now easy to replace in 20 seconds in an unlike scenario of failure.

XCR Mags work without a dremmled or modified receiver if I've read your other comments correctly on other threads. How does that work? Or AK or Type 81 mags.

I got the TNA one before and had to hog out the receiver and cut feed ramps for the rounds to chamber properly, modified the bolt as well. Never field tested it. Sold the kit and just went back to the internal mag.

No. You still need to modify the gun. There is no way around that. But you do not need a separate adapter , chassis is the adapter.

To clarify, do you mean the only the bolt? Or yes the receiver must be modded?

you still need to modify the receiver or the magazine won’t sit high enough to feed reliably. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.

There is a g9 adapter that does NOT require mod to the receiver but then you have to mod magazines and if you mod magazines you are limited to 5 legally.

As I said in another post I could claim “no action mod required” but then you still have to mod the mags. I would always rather mod the receiver than the mags. Always.

You can absolutely use dremel to do the job right on under an hour but you need a carbide burr which is like 20 bucks.
