I made a few updates to my project. Forend connection interface is now much more discrete and will allow for many different handguard styles planed.

Material is now Polyphthalamide Carbon Fiber which can handle impact like a champ and up to $250 degrees Celsius temperature.

Magazine release is much more tactile with a better spring and the whole magazine release is now easy to replace in 20 seconds in an unlike scenario of failure.

How are you manufacturing this? 3D printing? How does one get into that?

Buy a printer, get fusion 360/blender & play. The learning comes from being curious.
