Competitions/matches You said "get out and shoot", right?
Does a weekend at a match with athletes from across Canada and several other countries count? A significant portion of Team Canada was in attendance.

Where are you located? Usually I'd start talking to your local club or your provincial sport governing body.

This boomer sat around doing nothing for 50 years and got his RPAL a year ago. That said, I don't have a safe full of prohibs I'm mourning.
I do resent being a grown-ass man told that these particular weapons are not safe in my possession.

My gen-z ass looking awkwardly at my safe full of handguns. It may have put me in debt, but at least I got some of what I wanted

Good foresight. At least you're young enough that if grandfathering is the best deal we get, it means the good news AND the bad news is you're stuck with them for life. Good problem to have?

I’m just starting my journey into pistol & air pistol shooting. I currently have a Gamo Compact (now called the Air Venturi V10), and I’m lucky enough to be able to borrow a Browning Buckmark and a Medalist, to train and shoot in pistol competitions.
