Misc Need help choosing a 30-06

Need help deciding on a 30-06

I'm trying to decide on a 30-06.

I'm deciding between a howa 1500, Weatherby vanguard, savage 110, and Winchester xpr.

Anyone have any recommendations? Also scope recommendations?

I feel obligated to yell “Tikka!”

I really like Burris scopes for their value. The Signature series has really good optical quality for the price.

I would steer clear of 30-06 though. It’s a heavy recoiling, large cartridge that’s pretty inefficient compared to lets say a 308

I wanted a .308 and avoided tikka for that reason. There's a spacer in the magazine instead of a shorter action! I like my rifle to be designed around the cartridge.

With that said the tikkas are still amazing and a long action tikka is still lighter than a short action Howa.
