Feets / Collection / My build My Akdas Alcor cope build
Featuring the full Fox Operator tactical kit. 500 rounds through it so far with no issues. Gotta say, it’s very fun and more accurate than I expected. Gotta do whatcha gotta do these days but I’m pretty happy with it all things considered.

Aussie here. Looks great, love the FDE as well, the colour match looks really accurate to Magpul in this pic.
I suspect F.O is only making these kits for you Canadian's now. Thanks for for supporting our barely existent firearms industry, its real dire here at the moment.
I had to sell my Alcor build. Banned in my state now.

They banned the Aussie version of the alcor?! Fuck that sucks.

It does indeed. Wasn't particularly surprised after the Bondi attack.
It always seemed like a bit of ban evasion rifle down here. It was essentially a semi-auto with an interrupting button.
Was banned in some states already but NSW (most populous) state just banned it as well

Good looking build!
I opted to use an aluminum handguard on my build, it just gets so hot at the front with how frequent/hot fast I shoot.

Thanks! Yeah I considered the aluminum as well, but I just really like the FDE look. I figured Fox was kind of a compromise since the nylon polymer is supposed to be more heat resistant than the resin used by Tommy. My first range visit I ran about 250 rounds through it in 1 hour with quite a few 10rd mag dumps and it’s held up well so far.

600$ just for the Aussie plastic? Yikes. Plus another 200 for the other accessories.

Yeah it’s a little steep but seems to be good quality at least. Unfortunately not many options these days.

Its all good, it makes sense for R&D and it seems to be decent quality. Just seems aluminium wouldn't be much more expensive.

Probably the best one ive seen, the green really helps give it some distraction from the "cope" feeling the all black ones give off.
Even though I have no money id definitely want this to be my build of it like 1 to 1.

Love the alcor kit by Fox, more than the crusader kit for sure. Anyone here run the og wood stock with the fox operator handguard and Magwell? Think that could be a cool look.

How did you get the barrel threaded? Did you do it yourself or was a gunsmith able to do it for you?

Is it 3D printed? How is the durability?

It’s 3D printed nylon polymer using “Selective Laser Sintering” machines. Seems very durable so far, comparable to the material of the synthetic stock it came with

The barrel comes threaded in 1/2 - 28. Only the new synthetic version though.

No just spend your money on a platform thats actually worth spending on. Do all that but its still a turkish rifle that cant be easily upgraded with parts

I would agree if there was a decent alternative semi auto in .223/5.56. Bought this about a month before the Makasi was announced and still would need to wait for it so I’ll settle for the Alcor in the meantime.
