Fix my gun Alcor sheared roll pin

Was shooting the Alcor the other day when it locked up on me with a round in the chamber. I field stripped it to get the round out of the barrel, and found the firing pin jammed in the receiver behind the bolt carrier. Not really sure what caused it, but the firing pin took a big bite out of the roll pin and ejected itself out the back of the bolt. Only about 100 rounds through it, any ideas?

This happend to me 600 rounds in. I contacted g4c (where it was purchased) and they sent out new pins asap

Did they make you deal with Kodiak? I was hoping to just grab a few more pins from G4C, but it's looking like I'll have to send the whole rifle to Kodiak instead

Luckily I haven't had this issue on my alcor but I'll be following this thread. What kind of ammo were you using?

I'm getting a lot of FTE with the SVT ammo from tenda. The brass feels like it's too soft and its chipping at the rim where the ejector is pulling at it.

I have shot about 600 rounds out of my alcor I bought used. Not a single malfunction, I have exclusively used pmc bronze .223. If you have issues with them it might be an extractor issue

Yeah I was also using PMC exclusively and the cost was burning a slight hole in my wallet. I thought maybe saving a bit on bulk ammo would be a nice thought, and I bought the 1000 bulk box of SVT from Tenda.

Big mistake.

I wish I could return it, but there's no refund policy on ammunition.

Now I gotta just burn thru this cheap ass ammo.

You could buy a RAR or Howa mini action and then sell it $50 to $100 off of what you payed for it. You could also get a Rossi LWC in .223 for $600 or so but I don't think they hold there value as well.

Only pmc 55gr .223 so far, up until this failure it's ran flawlessly

Yeah lessom learned on my end. I'm gonna go back to PMC after this cheap ass ammo from SVT is done with. Another 500 rnds to go with this box
