Buy recommendations When or why did these go up in price?
I was looking at getting a Ruger American gen II chambered in .308 a few months ago and was looking back into it when I saw they had jumped from 5-600 to 900+. Anybody know the reason?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP I MISTOOK THE GEN I AND GEN II

The gen IIs at their cheapest were 899.99, if you were unlucky to have gotten one during tarrifs last summer they were like 1099.99

That's the Gen 2 and has been at that price range ever since. I know because I was considering buying one early last year.

I have this in 308 and a tikka ctr in 6.5. Tikka is for sure better but honestly the gen 2 Ruger is solid

Tikkas are fantastic wish I bought one over my savage after I tried the wife’s one out lol action is like butter

I traded my Tikka True Timber VSX for the new Browning Xbolt Speed 2 in 6.5 prc. The Tikka was nice, but I found the stock was hollow sounding/feeling and the xbolt is butter smooth, with a solid stock and beautiful sounding action.
I wish they had more aftermarket support, but as I’m hunting with it, it’s negligible

Fair enough Brownings are also very nice I will say the stock on tikka leave something to be desired especially on the cheaper models lol

Anything firearm related in Canada costs an arm/leg and firstborn child these days lol I’d say that price isn’t too terrible especially being gen 2

They have always been $900+. Are you sure you didn’t see an American price?
