Buy recommendations Where are people getting these tacticool lever rifles? Can't seem to find them on any of the usual retailers.

I've seen posts here and on Instagram with black level rifles with rails but don't see anything like them on Cabela's or FOC.

Note: No prices, no transactions. Reddit rules, not mine. Names of stores are fine. Nothing more ought to be required.

I suspect most of them are buying parts and components and then attaching them themselves

If anyone has a guide that would be sweet.

I don’t have one myself but ranger point precision makes a lot of stuff if you want to trick your choice of lever gun out. Pricy stuff though but they might be the market leader in those accessories.

What is wrong with people in this group 😂 how is this worthy of getting downvoted

This is a forum for people to talk to each other, ask questions, and argue but only if the group thought agrees with the subject. Otherwise it's downvote central.

Google and YouTube. That's how I modded mine. I have a pic of it in my profile.

There’s this great guide called “Google”

Depends on which one you want. Marlin darks take getting on a waitlist. S&W Stealth Hunter is on G4C right now. RDSC has Henry Big Boy X right now. Cheaper ones are always available somewhere

Avoid the morrison. I had one, multiple issues, and several other guys mentioned having the same problems. I sold it. On lever guns it's worth buying from one of the big names so you can get parts. Even a Canuck 336 clone, at least 336 parts fit it. The morrison I believe is based on sort of a 94/92 hybrid I believe, but isn't quite cross compatible for parts with either.

The wildlands tactical is a cool rifle but it has a bad design flaw.. the magazine doesn’t have a sleeve, so if you get a jam and need to clear it by disassembly, the rounds from the magazine dump into the foreend then you have to fish them all out. Their other takedowns don’t have that problem.

I would be looking at a good one but not picky other than that. Something bigger than 556.

If you already have a base lever to play with, you can get almost every fixture you might want for it from RDSC. If you don't, I have seen tacticool levers at both Tenda and RDSC within the last month or so

If you don’t wanna mod one out yourself RDSC sells citadel levtac-92s basically a Rossi made by same company. Cant speak on it’s quality tho, Henry is my go to for levers

I saw a few at Range Arts the other day.

Look up the Citadel Levtac

Still available at quite a few places. Cheap price, like around 800 bucks.

Rail and Mlock handguard,  all black.  Based on the 1892 so it's top ejection, so it's basically red dot or scout scope only

I have one, it's had its issues but the gun shoots well and is a ton of fun. Handguard liked to come loose until I loctited the set screw and the ejector snapped after about 200rd but warranty covered it and had it back in 2 weeks. I still really enjoy it in 44mag even if the build isn't that great.

It's a rebranded Rossi R92, made in the same factory. All r92 seem to have issues with ejectors breaking unfortunately, but at least the Citadel/Rossi warranty was super easy in Canada.

I've had some stiff springs and loose screws on mine,  but otherwise the thing is actually dead reliable!!! Good to know the warranty is easy at least!!!

Tactical imports?

2

u/MG34owner May 08 '26

Just wait for a year or two with preorder of marlin dark series

2

u/One_Salary_9068 May 08 '26

Chiappa wildland angle éjection td... Already tactic and less expensive than Henry / SW /Marlin... Oh and its not Tur Kish it

2

u/BrotherLefthand May 08 '26

Buy the base rifle, find a bit of kit you like that meets the profile of your rifle, put said kit on rifle, enjoy

u/RoundRefuse1740 May 08 '26

Some builds I’ve seen with Ranger point parts, not cheap though

2

u/Savings-Garbage-628 May 08 '26

As some have already said, most people take a stock lever gun and buy the parts. I put the Midwest Industries Extended Sight System handguard on my Rossi R95. It's actually pretty easy.

Canuck wrangler from RDSC

FOC or Firearms Outlet Canada in Ajax ontario has some interesting looking levers

What is your budget? I just finished one with a Midwest Industries S&W 1854 Extended Sight System handguard and stock, it cost nearly 50% of the firearm. I'm on the fence about the kit, build quality was great, but some screws were wrong size and the angled m-lok nuts do not fit properly.

As others have mentioned there are pre-built Turkish tactical levers that cost less.

Or you can consider getting a Marlin Dark or S&W Stealth Hunter lever which has tacticalish parts already installed.

What this guy said. I was just looking at a bunch of lever action guns from 600 up to 5k

Google helps narrow it down to Canada

You could also search on maplegun.ca pretty sure he’s in this sub
