Shooting Have you ever had a bear incident?

Post image

Honest question: have you ever had to fend off an aggressive bear in Canada? (hunting or otherwise) What happened, and what worked for your response?

I live on a mountain in BC and have bear sightings on my house camera about once a month this time of year. I have had a black bear in my garage once.

Jeebers. I can't imagine going out to the car and having Old Smoky there licking his lips!

Do they show aggression towards you and your family? Or do they just shoo away with some shouting?

I have never had one even acknowledge me. They just go about their business. The key is not to do anything stupid because black bears kill people more than any other animal in BC.
