Shooting Have you ever had a bear incident?
Honest question: have you ever had to fend off an aggressive bear in Canada? (hunting or otherwise) What happened, and what worked for your response?

We were chilling in my neighbour's backyard near the lake when a black bear entered stage left and casually started snarfing down seed from the bird feeder. We just sat there watching it from maybe 30 feet away, more amused than scared. Then it just exited stage right and off down the treeline it went.
It wandered to another neighbour's place while the husband was in his hot tub out back. We only knew that was the case when we heard him yelling and screaming while he tried to run back to the house but slipped and fell on the wet deck. According to his wife the bear just sat there looking at him with a vague wtf look about it. Never saw it again.
