Shooting Have you ever had a bear incident?
Honest question: have you ever had to fend off an aggressive bear in Canada? (hunting or otherwise) What happened, and what worked for your response?

Yup, i live in a very rural area. One day a black bear came by, and found some food. Well, it started coming back every night. My dogs could only keep it off the property in the morning, at night my property belonged to the bear. One time i was trying to get him off the porch and he lunged at me.
so I called my buddy who had a bear tag. He got in at 9pm. He asked if we were gonna go hunting in the morning. I said "we're getting him tonight". I start cooking ravioli to lure the bear, even though it had been coming every night for 3 nights already. We got him not 30 minutes later from the porch.
Grizzlies are also in the area, but they mind their business and leave when I holler.
I want to be clear that, it was a. A problem bear b. We had a tag c. It's a cultural food for my people
