Honest question: have you ever had to fend off an aggressive bear in Canada? (hunting or otherwise) What happened,​ and what worked for your response? ​​

I’ve had more than I’d like to, from far closer than comfortable, with far less than adequate to protect me, mostly taking out garbage or wandering around my property. I’ve used paintballs, slingshots, bear bangers, buckets, boots, rocks and harsh words and have luckily managed to escape all such encounters unharmed. Grizz would be a different story.
