Honest question: have you ever had to fend off an aggressive bear in Canada? (hunting or otherwise) What happened,​ and what worked for your response? ​​

Before firearms come into equation..

Pertaining to bears.

If it's brown lay down > If it's black fight back > if it's white say goodnight

Don’t lay down, make your presence known and back away while still facing the bear. I always recommend bear spray, and bangers too.
