Buy recommendations Cz 600 trail 300black or 7.62x39mm
Guys, planning to purchase cz 600 trail.
Help me out which one to go with!
For Target shooting and mid game hunting.

I vote for 7.62x39mm for recreational plinking fun, plus the option to do some hunting.
- 7.62x39 is the third-most affordable ammo type in the world.
- If you're willing to do the cleaning maintenance on your barrel, you can get corrosive bulk 7.62 x 39 ammo for 30 cents CAD per round (which cheaper than .17 HMR!). Just make sure to rinse and wipe down your barrel after every plinking session with those perchlorate primers.
- For bagging venison: you can upgrade to bougie Hornady Black ammo ($2.50 CAD per round)
- I've not tried them, but there are subsonic 7.62x39 loads available, too.

30c for the Surplus, 50-60 for non corrosive norinco and barnauls (when we had it) and then 1dollar for brass European ammo. Tons of options for x39, love that caliber

The .300 Blackout makes sense in one specific circumstance- that being you don't reload, and are willing to accept more expensive practice ammunition for a better selection of higher-quality hunting ammunition.
If you do reload, you can make much better hunting ammunition in x39 than is available off the shelf, and it's the more powerful cartridge.
If you don't, and are OK with 123 grain SP, x39 is cheaper (even ignoring surplus).

X39 all the way.
1. Brass cases are the same price. But cheap Surplus and norinco non corrosive exist for x39
One canadaguns member is working on 3d printing proprietary mags for the x39 version. Then these are for sale, there should be cool 10 and 20 round mags for it, vs the 300ac which only has 10 round pistol mags
There are x39 trails for sale for 990 bucks. The 300ac one is 1250 bucks. So you are already saving 200+ bucks.
You might already own an sks and thus already have ammo. Btw the 2 guns are wildly different to shoot. My sks is soft shooting, heavy old Surplus. My trail is loud with surprising kick, compact, light, easy to mount irons and scopes, and I think it's far more accurate.
So my vote is get the x39 version. 300ac makes sense in USA where 300ac is as cheap as x39, and common. Everywhere else in the world, x39 is the superior pick, including here.

Trail is a bad gun imo. Stock is so damn bad everytime you press trigger stock collapses and risk you a black eye

I have a cz 600 alpha in 7.62. Shoots great with Norinco. I tried the Winchester as well. Didn't find a difference. Norinco and Winchester are the only 2 types if seen except for corrosive.

We are in Canada get it in 7.62x39. If we were able to have suppressors I woulda said .300blk plus PPU and some other companies are making cheap hunting rounds for 7.62

A bolt in 7.62x39 is on my get list. Even thinking of trying to trade my SKS for one.

A used once, since they sided with the enemy liberals. Don't care if they backed out due to backlash. Unless they lobby the government to scrap bans and bring guns like the MRR to the consumer market, then we can talk new.

If you can find a couple spam cans of x39 id go with that. Its a more powerful cartridge and possible cheaper than 300acc.
300s benefits are that it reaches velocity in a short barrel and its designed to be shot suppressed. Youre probably going to keep the trail with its factory barrel length and we can't have suppressors, so id be a lot more excited about possible cheap surplus.
