Competitions/matches Had the chance to shoot a match suppressed down in Texas recently.

Went to Texas for the Leupold Best in Texas PRS match last weekend. The match director asked if I wanted to shoot the match suppressed and I just couldn't say no. So he loaned me his SilencerCo and off I went.

Its ridiculous that we can't have these here. Its straight up PPE. High volume shooting usually leaves me with a headache after a few hundred rounds but this left me feeling normal

Someone should bring up the health hazard of loud noise... surely the government cares about protecting people's ears...

To gun grabbers, shooting suppressed falls under the "tactical" umbrella. To them it's no different than dressing in camo, wearing a plate carrier and practicing room clearing exercises. All of that is just "murder practice" to them.

There are many who honestly believe that a) guns attract mentally unstable people and b) that gun ownership is a gateway drug to going postal.

I agree that some mentally unstable people are drawn to weapons of all sorts. But our permitting process weeds the vast majority out. But the fact that some wannabe killers want firearms does not mean all who want firearms are potential killers.

Just one of the highlight reels, match was 18 stages in 2 days. Shot 12 stages the day before and was thankful for the suppressor.
