Gun and gear reviews Follow up 10/22 mag extender

Finally got around to making V2. I made it smaller, long boi is gone 😢. I angled it a bit and it feels a bit better. I also rounded the front more than the back. Base has a faux plate. I modelled it after a mag of a gun I don't talk about.

I'm thinking about v3 maybe having a window with spent casings viewable like that other guy who does the AR mag covers.

A bunch of people also mentioned the tri connector, so I tried it out and am surprised how good it feels.

I'm working on some of the other nonsense people had mentioned. Just takes time as a beginner 3d guy.

Brother if you’re a beginner you make me look like a pleb with my kitchenaid replacement speed-selector knob models. Great job!

That sounds very useful if the knob breaks. This is what I love about 3d printing. Just being able to fix the things that need fixin.

Just an FYI, I just printed one from makerworld. Don't want to take credit for someone else's work. I just made the stick one. I think tacsol makes a tri connector if you don't have access to a 3d printer.

Ok cool thanks for letting me know, I assume there’s no legality issue on printing something like this it’s not like it’s a ghost gun or something stupid like that

I'm not sure anymore what's legal or not but the RCMP can go to hell of they think a plastic part that connects 2/3 things together is illegal. That being said I'm like 99.99% sure this is good to go. For now.

Yeah you have to have a law degree to understand the constant changes and even then lol

Still too long, need it flush with the pistol grip, or curved so it doesn't extend past it.

Lol...damn it, I was hoping to get that by. My measurements are always wrong. I'll fix in next version. My issue with curved mags is I can't figure out filleting curved lines.

So I have a question. In the profile picture you can see how it extends past the pistol grip. Do you think it needs to be the length of the front of the pistol grip or back since the grip is angled? And do you think I should mimick the angle of the grip or keep if pretty much vertical? BTW Thanks for your feedback

Thanks for eveyones feedback. Once I get it to a point where its good to go, ill post the final version and a link to makerworld. If that's ok with the mods.

It’s wild how far 3D printers have come in a few years and how good their out of the box prints are

Amen dude. I've wanted a printer for years but always held back because the "printer" was the hobby. Naw man, the printer is the tool. The only problem is I'm a little worried that the "man" is coming for my little filament printer soon. I swear I choose things that some people just don't understand or like.

You can always run it in LAN mode without an internet connection
