Shooting Hot 22?

Was shooting my Marlin 795 when something sketchy happened my guess is a little to much powder in that one. Shooting Aguila have shot lots of them never had this happen.

almost looks like it went off slightly out of battery

maybe due to all that carbon buildup preventing the case from seating?

this is almost certainly what has happened . probably a good thing it was only a 22 . whoever taught this fellow its ok to run it that dirty did him a disservice . yikes .

You think that's bad, you should see my 44 black powder after two cylinders. I don't know how they could shoot it reliably back in the 1870's after a couple of goes. I guess that's why Jose Wales carried 12 of them.

I can believe it , Ive seen my Glock get pretty gross after 50 rounds of 'light' loaded handloads - which I made to spec (CFEpistol) pow just didn't want to burn - I switched to titegroup and never had that issue again.
This guys chamber looks like it had mud pumped into it. He says it was clean when they started - I know im never buying aguila ammo thats for sure .

Others can jump in, but I’ve had the wildest variety with Aguila.

75% is so bad every second round jams, sticks or is a dud even in forgiving guns.

Then I’ll get the occasional box that might as well be that nice Eley.

They didn't. When muskets were the primary weapon on the battlefield they would only get maybe a dozen or so shots before it fouled up and they'd have to give it the soldier's fix. Which at 4-5 shots per minute for a good line battalion, it wouldn't take long.

That’s what we where thinking believe it or not gun was not that dirty before the shoot.

i believe it. its so easy to suddenly go through several hundred .22 rounds.

i feel like even the 'clean' .22 rounds are still quite dirty.

I had to switch to a bolt gun from my semi auto .22 because even with .22 range sessions were getting expensive.

ya we only buy .22 in bulk and when its on sale.
