News / Politics / Activism Is there a published list of all firearms submitted to the lab and current awaiting FRT evaluation?
With the recent two surprises that were both given NR status, I am wondering if there are any more waiting in the queue that could potentially see the same. Is this list published anywhere?
With the changes to the law, what was the cutoff that they had to be submitted to the lab by, 2024?

There was a cutoff for gun makers to submit a new semi auto model with “high cap” detach mags (stanag) that wasn’t already on our market. I believe it was end of December, 2023.
Anything submitted to the lab prior to that, could still be given a NR status as C-21 didn’t apply to those.
It applied to any guns submitted to the lab after X date.

Royal assent was 2023-12-15. I didn't understand it as an FRT submission deadline but the the actual design date. Clear as mud, and I don't have time to watch the Runkle videos.

Yup, I was talking with the rcmp firearms technical division about this not too long ago and that is the case. If you can find a design from before that date, you can get an NR or R FRT and then get one that was made after the ban.
