Do NOT access/download the files, possessing that information is illegal now thanks to Trudeau FYI, just as possessing a digital copy of Philip Luty's book would also be illegal inder the same legislation.

Is it legal to make your own barrel by other means?

All I know is that without a manufacturing license it's illegal to possess electronic files for manufacturing firearms, how that breaks down for individual parts I'm unsure. Things like grips, stocks, rails etc (accessories) are fine AFAIK, parts like barrels and bolts may be a grey area, receivers for sure are a no-go.

I did know receivers were a no-go but I thought everything else was fair game.

I remember when you could fabricate an entire hand gun, pistol or revolver from scratch and download the form from the RCMP to register it. It wasn't very long ago.

They really have destroyed the hobby successfully
