News / Politics / Activism BC Conservative leader election

Now I can only see Yuri Fulmer being clear about protecting gun rights. Didn't hear other candidates mentioning it. Correct me if I am wrong please.

It sucks that most of the BC conservative candidates are former Liberal MPs. If any of them win, we are going to see a majorly watered down conservative platform I suspect. Although, to give some of them the benefit of the doubt, people's views do change over time. The former Liberal Party of BC would almost be labeled as conservative these days with the Overton window shift, but I still am rooting for KLF as a former CPC MP, she will likely so the most to enact a genuinely center right platform.

It's not even an almost - the former liberal party of BC had nothing to do with the federal liberals to my knowledge and was the de facto conservative party in BC prior to Rustad being shown the door.

Correct. BC NDP are roughly equivalent to Federal Liberals.
