We've also learned recently that the RCMP/cfo can review your competition scores year over year. If you decide to stop competing they can revoke your exemption status and demand you relinquish any handgun you've obtained with it.

Food for thought

Where did you read this? They can’t asked us to relinquish any handguns we already have - the exemption is to obtain a pistol, not to process a pistol; that’s what your R PAL is for. Otherwise, we’d all be handing back our 9mm and 45s already. Exemptions also expire after 1 year or if you’ve exceed 3 additional pistols on top of the exemption anyways, so if you can’t provide proof that you’re still practicing or competing, you just can’t get a new exemption letter to get more pistols.

Seriously not sure where you heard this from or how the logic works.
