Could you get a .22 Glock, and then buy a new barrel etc. to make it 9mm?

Since the frame is the serialized part, but I don’t know if the .22 frames are compatible with 9mm slides (I am by no means an expert, hopefully that made sense to someone)

If the Glock is manufactured and sold in 22, yes.

HOWEVER, Glocks are not generally used in the recognized disciplines (bullseye, Olympic rapid), and don’t have adjustable sights from factory, so I’m not very confident you’ll be approved for exemption.

You can try it though, it’s really up to the CFO.
