Application / Regulation advice Question about the henry supreme
I know ARs are usually easily convertible from 5.56 to .300blk but would this be. I will probably buy a 5.56 because of ammo prices but it would be nice to be able to hunt deer with it too. I see 450$ .300blk barrels that would be a nice combo gun. Can someone confirm or disprove my theory please?

My understanding of the rifle is that the barrel on these guns attaches to the receiver essentially the same as an AR15 barrel. They just use a proprietary barrel nut. Red Deer shooting centre is selling Henry supreme rifles that they have swapped the barrels on. Their manufacturing company, Shield Rifle works, developed a method of removing the barrel. They then installed an AR15 barrel without a gas hole onto it and secured it using a BCM kmr handguard barrel nut. Once you have the factory barrel removed I guess its the same as removing the barrel from any AR15 at that point so swapping to . 300 blackout should be a simple case of swapping the barrel as there's no gas system and .300 blackout uses the same bolt as 5.56.
