News / Politics / Activism Panic?

Just curious how many of you have upped your reloading/ammo/firearm supplies in the past year or so because of the current government. Personally they have "made" me get more than ever. Thoughts of a ammo cap limit and more restrictions. Im not saying people should do this im just curious and this post in no way is suggesting anything. So no hate please 😌

Its done the opposite for me. Havent bought any ammo or gun related stuff since april '25. Without even an illusion of feeling like knowing where this all ends or at least returns to stability, and after losing cumulative 30K to every single wave of bans, Im putting the time and money into other things that make me happy. While I can. Not complying, window shopping, keeping my range membership and RPAL in good standing are about the extent I participate anymore. Hoping for the best for all of us in the end but Im also done gambling.

Fair enough, I didn't loose anything with the bans yet. I just look at other countries like the UK banning lead ammo and think, might as stock up while I can sorta thing. Stock up as in just buying a bit every week or so. Nothing crazy

UK banning lead ammo is mostly due to environmental concerns. Which is kinda fair given the entire landmass of UK can fit inside a single province. The concentration of lead in the environment with that population density would certainly carry more risk than in Canada. The effectiveness of non lead ammo certainly is also debatable for the cost. Though I can see, based on Starmers agenda, why some would think its something else.

All of the UK could fit inside Alberta from the US boarder to just past Athabasca.

Yeah I know its for environmental reasons, I personally use full copper for whitetail mostly because its super effective but I do use lead shot for upland hunting
