Gun and gear reviews Will there be any discount for Renegade MK II
I’m interested to get a 12.5inch Renegade MK II, but it’s a bit pricey for me right now, 1,500 plus taxes. I’ve been patiently waiting since January do they go on sale often?

Seen a few on gun post for around 1000-1250. Its AR parts compatible, so you can also buy used and upgrade some parts yourself

Since it’s a side charging rifle, I was wondering if I’d get bored at the shooting range because of how slow it is. I'm in between 30-06 BAR or this.

To be fair, a Bar is going to be a much more powerful cartridge, and even of its semiautomatic, I can't see someone doing accurate rapid-fire with it.
If you want to bast away, I'd be grabbing a 22lr semi auto, or maybe a henry homesteader or a Turkish 223 semi auto.
I will say, shooting a manual operated gun can be fun. I run my bolt action as quick as I can while staying on target and it's a blast. Kind of like a Lee Enfield mad minute. Same with my pump Shotguns. Work the pump and blast. Takes more skill to do fast, so you got lots to practice and it stays fun.
I can't stand the folks that think a gun has to be semi auto to be fun. They comment negative comments all the time about there being no fun guns. I don't believe that for a second. There are less fun guns, but anything from a bolt action, to a pump, to a lever action, to a double barrel, to one of the few remaining semi autos, can be fun. You can have fun with lots of guns. Hell lately I've been having fun with a bow and arrow. Way less power and range and capacity compared to my guns.

They are extremely lack luster. After shooting semi's the pump rifles and maple ridge guns are so depressing

You can shoot Renegade pretty fast if you practice.
Even with a pump shotgun, with right technique, you could shoot it as fast as you could
No guns are boring, only the users are

If you’re concerned about that, buy an older 308 BAR. They’re not very well designed but they’re good enough, and under a thousand dollars.
So, even though it’s twice the price of 5.56, 1000 rounds + rifle, the cost would be the same.
Or just buy an SKS.

Can I ask why 308 BAR instead of 30-06?

Cost of ammunition, also the 308 is (if I recall correctly) a shorter, lighter gun.

Manufacturer Advertised Pricing. You see it lots where a company sets the price for their product and wants their retailers to use it.

Note also that these things are always in sufficient demand to sell out in a reasonable time, which suggests that 900 dollars (for the receiver set) and 1500 dollars (receiver set, plus 500 dollars worth of parts and 100 dollars assembly fee) is actually the correct price.
As such, there's no reason to ever drop the price. This is Econ 101 stuff.
