Competitions/matches Couple medals from the weekend
Shot in a big annual sporting clays even my club hosts, Friday Saturday and Sunday. I competed in a higher class this time than I did last year, and managed a bronze in the preliminary and another in the main event. I also shot in the sub-gauge event on Friday and scored high over-all for 20 gauge (which was also high over all for all sub-gauges)
20 gauge understandably doesn't get the same clout as 28 and .410, but to my credit I used a 91 year old gun with a fixed full choke. Over all just a damn good weekend!

Congrats man! I dig the gunslinger set up. Fixed choke is best, you want to see the clays explode don’t you?

Agreed! I also just got a taste for old shotguns, so my collection is mostly fixed and I just learned to shoot as is. I can often be seen twiddling my thumbs while the rest of the squad is swapping chokes ag each station

The choke doesn’t really matter as much as people make it seem.
I think you should bring out an old side by side for next year.

I've got a couple fun-favorites for the casual shoots, including an old British hammer gun and a copy of a Winchester lever action shotgun. This weekend was registered targets though so I stuck to the Auto-5 since it just seems to agree with me. I can always count on that one when I need a good score

Great stuff dude! I came first place in my class and concurrent at an NSSA skeet shoot this weekend. I shot a 97/100, shooting 50 straight, then missed 3 on the 3rd 25, then ran the last 25 straight!

I love the leather bandoliers, have a couple myself. I like loading them up and hanging them on a hook. Cheesy I know but I love the look.

Lol I totally agree. They get a few smiles for sure, especially when everyone else has a proper jersey on
