Milsurps / Prohib Grab SKS, go inna woods.
Bought a bubba blaster off of CGN. It's much better done that I was expecting, but bubba still had his dirty mitts all over it.
The badacetactical mount came loose even with a generous amount of loctite. The whole thing flopped over on me. I'm a bit peeved. Still had fun though.
I highly recommend y'all try and catch Bubbas' cope rifles they're selling to fund their Makasi pre-orders.

It's an old cabinet that's been cut to look like a dude, then routered to have targets on it. For extra fun, it was painted.
The other one is a werewolf.

It makes sense. We lost our ARs and similar sporting rifles. Lots of guys are chomping at the bit for the replacement.

That's definitely a Neumann handguard. It's a nice little piece.
I reinstalled the badace with the thinnest coat of loctite 262. She ain't going anywhere. (Hopefully)
If yours has a couple extra pic slots on it, then I could be convinced to switch. The PA 1x is just a bit too bulky for the rear sight rail.

Thanks! Mine has 5 slots but it's probably around the same length. Both of ours are designed to retain both stripper clip and gas tube lever usage without removing the sight base, which limits the red dots you can use to 57mm in overall length. It's a limit of the SKS itself, not necessarily the bases.
Theirs has a big chunky piece on the rear end, not sure why its there. Mine doesn't which is why it has 5 slots instead of 4.

This one is the badace, but the neumann one is probably just as good. Whichever is cheaper is a good choice.
Hush holster has an RMR footprint rear sight block if you're dedicated to a pistol optic.

Going to go inna woods soon, is there anything I should know?
The area is crown land, 4km+ from the nearest building and even further from the nearest town, obviously, will pick up any shells or brass, transporting firearms adequately blah blah blah. Is there anything I should make sure of or any rules of thumb I oughta know? It'll be my first time doing this so I just wanna make sure I'm dotting my eyes and crossing my T's so to speak.

Follow firearm safety. Make sure your firearms are safe before going to your targets. Make sure your backstop is safe to shoot at and will prevent rounds from going somewhere unsafe.
Be extra vigilant about where people may come from before you start shooting. I've had dirt bikers show up out of nowhere and ride right through my shooting path. It's like they didn't even see me. I heard them coming, so I cleared my guns before they got to me.
I treat it like I'm at the range

Just be careful with shooting FMJ I read somewhere it’s a no go shooting it in the woods.

It. Can't. Be. Mounted. Lower. In. This. Configuration. Because. The. Optic. Is. Too. Long. For. The. Pic. Rail. And. It. Would. Be. Hit. By. Ejected. Cases. And. Impede. The. Use. Of. Stripper. Clips.
