Buy recommendations What are my options? (11×60mm Mauser)

I’m looking for some 11×60mm Mauser rounds and I’m wondering what my options are? I haven’t seen anyone selling any here, If I could find the components I’d consider making them myself, but admittedly I’ve never worked with black powder rounds before so I’m cautious.

Thank you for the input, I’m sorta new to ordering ammo online, rounds like these are obviously allowed here, but how does something like this work crossing the border? That’s why I was wondering about options within Canada

With a o ring spacer you can chamber 45-70 rounds and the diameter is similar. I just used 45/70 loads with a o ring in front on the rim to mimic the Russian brass shape

Well that is something I never would have thought of. No issues with gas blowing past the rim I take it?

The 45 won’t fit in the 11mm chamber tho?

Sometimes you can find old factory loaded ammo in switzers auction. It won't be cheap but you can save the brass after you fire it. This ammo was in normal production in Canada until the 1970s so there is still a decent amount of it floating around.

I reload this round. Cast my own bullets once the mold is acquired lead is cheap. If you can find it bertram brass out of Australia makes brass, like ten years ago I was buying it @ $5/piece. And I use a light load of smokeless powder and it works great, tho I have also loaded BP. If you do some digging in reloading books you can find recipes.

For obsolete calibers, if you actually want to shoot it more than once a decade, you’ll need to hand load. Initial cost for equipment can be pricey but it’ll pay for itself quickly for rounds like that.

My friend had one rechambered to 45-70, i dont recall what he paid .

CIL/Dominion made ammo here domestically for about 50 years, you can pretty often find full boxes at gun shows albeit for $100 - $200 a box. Its good stuff and the brass is reloadable
