Fix my gun Can you dry fire

i have a tm22 ria feather ik you cant dry fire most 22s but some you can

When I took CFSC the instructor said dry firing was fine and didn't do any harm to the gun. I know there's other opinions out there, but that's what he said

Depends on the gun. Ruger says in the 10/22 manual it's okay to dry fire, but doing so on a Winchester model 94 for example will eventually cause damage to the firing pin
