Fix my gun Red dot with front sight?
Should I remove the front sight on my AR while having a red dot or should I keep it?
P.S I can see the red dot nicely appear right on top of the sight
Please critique! 🫡

As it is a Derya stripped to lighten it, shouldn't this be called a 'D-Lite 22'?!?!?!
(mic drop as i walk away in my cargo shorts & New Balance 'grass-cutter 3000' über white shoes)

The term for this if you ever want to look into it further is"cowitness sights" and I actually think it's pretty useful particularly if you ever worry about a battery dying or a malfunction with the optic. You can even get flip up sights for worst case scenario if you don't always want to see both. Or canted irons if you only want your irons on an angle

The front sight isn’t going to do you much good seeing as how you removed the rear sight already..

Heh heh, yeah I figured they’d be crucifying you for that in the comments

THATS A WEAPON OF WWWWAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Just comes down to whatever you find works best.. can you see clearly through your optic? Can you detach the optic if you run out of batteries and have back iron sights? Cool...

It's the perfect sight picture. Why would you want to rid yourself of it?

if you are really striving for that early 2000's aethestic, you should be rocking a flip-up rear sight. The logic-train with that whole setup was cowitness with your irons but you can switch back if your optics go down.

I took both off and put a scope on. Looks like thr front sight is in the way of the red dot.

Calling this an ar and putting a dogass scorpion red dot on is crazy work. I saw one comment that said almost right but it isn’t even almost right.

I actually like having a tiny bit of the front sight visible at the bottom of my sight picture, but I know im in the minority in that opinion. Also the front sight doesn't have any functional use in the operation of the RIA feather so you wont have any issues like that from removing it. Happy plinking!
