Gun and gear reviews Just enough bubba
Heres my gorgeous Russian sks 1957 letter series. Wish I bought it in 2003 like the last owner. Simple mod but great upgrade for ergo. Nothing permanent. Olight c on a bad ace low mount. Cryptid work extended charging handle and speed loader. Next is the Makasi mk15

I'm also a fan of minimal bubba, but a little more minimal than you. I only replaced the rear sight leaf with a peep sight from magwedge (would highly recommend)

Can someone who tried tell me if removing the bayonet off of the SKS impacts the accuracy?

How hard is to replace factory iron sight with the red dot mount?
Is there any video anywhere? I tried but unable to do so on FT SKS

The french tickler as a pin that you need to get out first, like my russian. Buy a punch kit and it should be easy. Bad ace has a video

But why… red dot is definitely not as reliable as the factory iron sight.

Better sight picture and competition shooting at close range makes it worth it. Right now the majority of semi-auto rifles are banned in canada, except for the SKS. So, make use of whatever you have.

Probably the only practical optic setup for an sks. Don't trust any other mounting method and bigger optics are just plain silly for what it is.
