Where did you get an OKP!? I know it's not a "good" sight but I still want one.

I bought the clone version sadly, but it's great in my opinion. https://a.co/d/093a2J17

Thanks! I didn't think there were even available clones around.

Why you gotta show me this?! My brain tells me it's trash... But my heart says it's a total fucking vibe and I'm all in on it!

I honestly thought it was too much until I realized that as long as it's not in a bubba stock and I don't see a freaking rail across the entire dust cover..... I'm safe

Apparently the poor parallax with these clones makes them arguably useless on real firearms. Heard it echoed many times, along with seeing some utube videos where the guy was getting like 20moa with his AK lol.

I got one on a Airsoft AS VAL. And outside of the parallax issue it seems very well made for the money.

I wouldn't doubt it, and I'll just take it off if there's any problems

Hell yeah, that fucksĀ

Have you shot with it? Does it not interfere with ejecting brass? Looks like it could but not sure. Thank you for the link! Really nice looking opticšŸ‘

It will not trust me, check out the comments I sent a link with more of a visual on the loading. I don't want to use my corrosive ammo I'm waiting for some better ammo

I did I saw that after I asked, looks sick my man! I love those optics, and now I want it lol

YEAAAA!!! it's just a pain to get it to hold zero, it's not all sunshine and rainbows remember that lol!

Ya only bad thing is you’ll fuck up the irons so that’s the only reason why I wouldn’t I would just get a FAB stock that has a plastic pic rail for red dotsĀ

The rear leaf comes out with relative ease if you know what you are doing. And sight block mounted pic rails are relatively easy to come by. I see no issue other than time and money

I thought it would but it's almost made for it, the sight isn't in the way of my thumb at all when pushing down.

Can't use stripper clips anymore thought (?)

2

u/Iokua_CDN Apr 20 '26

Been tempted to do the same since the ak47 adaptors are so so cheap....Ā  or just spend the extra and get an sks one

1

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

It's very hard to get it to hold zero but if you are mechanically inclined then go for it

2

u/TheScranHouse Apr 20 '26

Have you shot with that optic on? Im very tempted to snag one, but im wondering if it'll even hold up after 100 rounds or so

2

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

I have not shot with it yet, but I'm not sure why the optic wouldn't hold up?

2

u/TheScranHouse Apr 20 '26

Im just skeptical on build quality of the optic itself. cheaper materials, less rigidity of internal components & not being able to withstand the shockload of running 7.62x39 in rapid succession. I've ran a few cheap red dots on my .22lr rifles before & they've performed fine, but ive never wanted to run em on anything bigger then that. Who knows tho, I'd love to know if it performs decent! would be a really dope dot to run for plinking.

2

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

Well I hope she holds, I'm more worried about the rail lol. That thing is jimmy rigged like crazy to fit!

2

u/TheScranHouse Apr 20 '26

Lol fair enough, just stick it with the forbidden glue gun (Millermatic 142)

1

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

wait what is that?

2

u/Armedfist Apr 20 '26

That clone is fine but the battery life is really bad

1

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

According to you?

2

u/Armedfist Apr 20 '26

How would I know the battery life if I don’t have one…

1

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

idk you tell me XD

2

u/IntroductionAny3929 Apr 20 '26

NGL that goes hard

2

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

we'll see if it holds zero tho

2

u/IntroductionAny3929 Apr 20 '26

If it does, let me know, I’d love to see the groupings

3

u/No-Inspector6242 Apr 20 '26

I will do an update when non corrosive comes in the mail. I don't want to deep clean this thing again lol!

2

u/CanadAR15 Apr 20 '26

Bruh, I didn't even see that you kinda asked if this was a Russian gun. Yes it's Russian lol, the only thing is that it's a 1949 so no chromed barrel. Easy to rust out.
