Sad isn’t it.

Hey at least you got to shoot it.. I bought an AR15 during the winter and it got banned few months later.. Didn't even get to shoot it. Was under the impression of being "grandfathered" in and that we can still use it at the range.. Didn't know how much of a Nazi, dictator the Canada Liberal government is. This is why I have been telling everyone especially new immigrants to never vote for the Left.

Who should our targeted group of people be then? I vote for two groups:

  1. The people who don't stand on the right side of escalators.

  2. People who don't say thank you when you hold the door for them.

  1. People that drive slow in the left lane

That's the convenient part that people with gross misunderstanding of history leave out. It was disarmament, for those the government didn't like.

This isn't that. This is just grandstanding virtue signalling that the government is doing something about all those shootings. Mainly one that this whole confiscation wouldn't even address.

It's frankly more lazy vote grabbing than some mass conspiracy of targeting people.

u/Motor_Historian2634 Apr 19 '26

Honestly i do think its that, gun owners are people the canadian government doesn't like.

u/Scary-Detail-3206 Apr 19 '26

“Doesn’t like” is a bit of a soft term. They hate us and want to destroy our culture.

That’s ok though, I hate them more than they hate me and I’ll be here long after this circus of a liberal government falls apart.

u/asuhhhdue Apr 19 '26

It's both

1

u/mangobludden Apr 20 '26

liberals aren't leftists, they never will be.

1

u/Dream_of_Iron_Sheep Apr 26 '26

Liberals aren't left - coming from a leftist gun owner. Calling them Nazis is kinda crazy though. It's just vote pandering for Quebec, they're not rounding anyone up and putting them in camps.

It is horseshit though. The current state of our gun laws is fucking stupid.

Non compliance is relatively low risk. Police essentially cannot go door to door to verify you've either turned it in or destroyed it. They don't have the resources to make this happen.

Actively taking it out and shooting it though increases the chances of a law enforcement interaction. Either from sound of it being used potentially attracting attention to being stopped along the way. Even on your own property, if you have the land, there is still some risk. And if you do get caught with it then they almost certainly will charge you. Which means you lose your firearms, risk jail time and if you try to fight it you're going to be spending a ton of money.

I don’t think I would. I don’t aim to. A country filled with even 1% of gun owners willing to commit would change the landscape of firearm confiscation in this country. Of course if bending over seems ideal sure but I don’t aim to hand over my guns to a country that’s paid me to carry one

He literally just said they paid him to carry one implying he was possibly either in the military or law enforcement.

u/Khmerog1 Apr 19 '26

Some people have lots of private land or know of people with private land and some people just have balls and dont give a fk.

12

u/Ok-Builder-9338 Apr 19 '26

Really, what are the chances in some circumstances? If you're on crown land, at a known shooting spot, have you ever seen police officers show up or ask for you pal or to see your firearms? Even going to and from, You'd have to get pulled over, have your gun cases clearly visible, to be even asked for your pal. Even then, do they open up your case to see if your firearm is on the list? I've never been pulled over with a firearm, so I don't know what the procedure is. I'm just saying, for those who have been shooting on crown land or private land who have never had any issue in the past, the chances would seem pretty low to have problems now. I don't think RCMP has the resources to send out patrols to rural areas to make sure peoples firearms aren't on the list, but I could be wrong.

Some people aren't boot lickers and realize this is only the beginning of something terrible

24

u/Scary-Detail-3206 Apr 19 '26

I see dudes at the range shooting prohibs all the time. It’s none of my business so I don’t care to say anything.

I asked the range safety officer once what would happen if a member was found to be shooting a prohibited firearm on the range. He said as long as you’re not stupid enough to a complaint to the CFO, everything is fine.

Alberta is the best.

9

u/Eisgeschoss Apr 19 '26

It's fine if people choose to not comply (especially with how utterly wrong and illegitimate the 2020+ bans are), but in any case it's extremely dumb to be recording themselves using prohibs and posting it on social media like that; like are those guys trying to get their doors kicked in? 🤦‍♂️

We now have a single party system, so yeah.

9

u/Big______Chungis Apr 19 '26

They say if we all tuck our prohibs under our pillow before we go to bed, and say a prayer to the honourable Gary, he will make them non restricted again…

u/Prior-Radio8346 Apr 19 '26

I'm tempted to throw the 9" barrel back on mine. Prohib is Prohib at this point so might as well look badass.

Proper arrests for actual criminals in parliament, or arrests of innocent law abiding citizens, because government overreach... crazy thing, many of these cops are the ones who refused to hand over their guns for the buyback... 98% refusal? Time for the officers to go remove diplomatic immunity and properly audit and address the corruption ...

I think soon you would need it. Another world war is around the corner. With the lpc on the helm. Collapse of economy and civil unrest. You get the picture

Cause fuck the government. They want us to go quietly and get stomped out. Every prohib post in here reminds me of what we used to have, and how ridiculous it is that we’ve gotten to this point where damn near everything is banned.

Stupidity hapened around my area last night.... rural/residential

If you want to attract attention, fire off 16 rounds in rapid fire. Quick way to have a cruiser patrolling the area. Three rounds of five... or two rounds of 10... no attention... 16, you get attention.

2

u/Any_Wind655 Apr 19 '26

Okay 👍🏻
