I have never once seen anyone use the barbed wire cutter part of the bayonet scabbard effectively in my 20 years of service.

What markings are on the current gen?

Eikhorn Solingen 2000, the newer ones say 2005. They don’t really have any other markings

Some don’t have any markings at all other than Solingen
