Buy recommendations Whats going on with 10/22 bolts?
Looking to put together a 10/22 but I can't find any bolts for sale. Most places are sold out or have stopped carrying them.
Whats going on that could that could impact the availability? I've never seen this much demand for 10/22 bolts. I know Dlask is shutting down so I guess kidd bolts are unobtainable now?

Dlask is winding down operations and has just been selling off whatever they have left for a while now, so that certainly doesn’t help with availability.

Are they? They just recently restocked their 25 round magazines. 200+ of them.

I have a feeling the order for the TUF-22 magazines were placed a long time ago… Several retailers finally got their shipments last week.
As for closing: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/threads/is-dlask-still-in-business.2551756/

They’ve already had at least two orders of the mags come in well after they began retiring. One back in September and then this more recent one.

As a side note, I picked up several TUF-22 mags a few weeks ago. I find them to be quite fussy and fragile, and a bit "over-engineered." They should have just cloned the BX-25 mags. Hopefully someone comes out with a super reliable 10/22 high capacity magazine for Canada one day.

Part out the cheapest 10/22 you can buy new. I always come out a few bucks ahead selling the other parts vs buying just the oem bolt.

I had the same problem, there's absolutely none in stock anywhere. I got lucky today and picked up a used Ruger bolt the 50 bucks locally

The reason there is no 10/22 bolts in the market A company is buying all the Used bolts to make a moving weight to stop bolr bounce. And they are going for $750.00 .and they can not keep them in stock. That is the reason I belive.

It's caused by a couple issues.
Most of the bolts in Canada are supplied by Dlask and us. Our bolts are made for us by an OEM in the US and we bring them in. Our last export permit was delayed by months in part due to the government shutdown and that caused delays.
We then sold out that entire run of bolts in a day.
Our next run is much larger and should be ready in about 30 days.
